These are my favorite ever Ikea Hacks!
In this post I’m sharing with you a little research I did on Ikea hacks. But not those cheap looking ones you are used to see, these ones are actually pretty cool!
I totally agree with finding pieces of vintage decor and furniture. Items that are handmade or simply buying at small stores with unique products that are not made in bulk. If you can do it, that’s the best option, that’s what I aim to do. But sometimes, most of us do not have the time or the money to chose items like these. So Ikea and other big stores become our first option. And that’s totally fine, at least for now!
This does not mean that we must be content to have everything the same as our neighbor, our neighbor’s aunt, or the great-grandmother of our neighbor’s aunt. That’s why I decided to culminate in this post my favorite Ikea hacks, that I want to try in the next months.
Leather pulls for shoe cabinet
At some point when we were bringing furniture to our apartment, I wanted to buy this shoe cabinet. My husband didn’t really liked it, so I didn’t bring it with me. I wish I had seen this back then! Just a simple detail that makes such a big difference.

Mid century style cabinet
This one must have emerged in a genius moment. I love that they looked at something from the kitchen area, and thought about transforming it to look like this cabinet. I love the wooden doors against the white frame, and those slim black handles.

Painted cutting boards
Such a simple touch that makes it so much more interesting. You just need a little bit of tape and paint, in whatever color you prefer, and voila! This makes such a cool idea for gifts too, totally thinking about it for next Christmas.

Rimmed drinking glasses
This ones don’t necessarily need to be Ikea. And you can make this one with cups that you already have. The pattern in this cups makes them more chic, but if you do it on more simple ones, they will look more classic.

Speckled jewelry dish from coasters
Never looked at those coasters this way, but they surely look cute as a jewelry dish. They also make a lovely candle base, or really, whatever you want and need. They are very versatile, but I loved the way they painted them.

White fur stool
Totally trying this one soon! I have some of this stools stored for when people come over, and they just look so boring! This is a really cool twist to it! But instead of painting the legs in gold, I will paint them in French blue, to match my living room’s wall color.
