Can you feel the crisp air? The leafs are ready to fall from the trees, and the night comes earlier every day. Well maybe not, but I want it to be true! Really, my scarf collection is ready to come out of the closet and I can’t wait to wear chunky knit sweaters. Maybe I’ve said it once, or a million times, but fall is my favorite season!
In terms of decor, after all the bright and light summer designs, I am craving rich tones and moody colors. With that said, I prepared a few color schemes that are inspiring me for the projects I’ll be making next season. Kitchen cabinets with earthy darker tones are a must for this Fall, and I’m dying over this ones. The other warmer neutral tones balance with the blue-ish color, and make this a perfect color scheme for any room.
I find that flowers are a great source of inspiration. The colors on this photograph would make a killer living area or master bedroom. I would use them as accent colors on a neutral base, with pillows and other statement items.
Nature always gives us the best color schemes. I feel that everything in it was perfectly created and we can learn a lot with what surrounds us. This is also a warm and balanced group of shades that I’m loving at the moment. Very moody and probably not everyone’s cup of tea because of the darker, almost black tone. It reminds me of leather chairs and linen textiles against a dark wall. Would look awesome with brass accents (Can you tell I’m loving brass in almost every blog post?).
Where do you get inspiration for your home?
Pinterest or things that surround you? (it’s ok to say Pinterest, most of the times it is my main source of inspiration too – no shame!)
