I haven’t done a “currently loving” blog post in a while, but after seeing so many people trying this trend, I couldn’t help but write about it. I totally love it! Even though I’m not a rugs person (allergies!), I feel like all this spaces look extra comfy.
My favorites
Oh, I can’t help but falling in love with striped rugs. It is probably because of the obsession I have with striped shirts in my wardrobe (about 15 or maybe more). In the last pic you can see it above a neutral base rug which works as a foundation. It has the right size and contrast, the textures are just on point! If you feel like it is too much, try the other way around. The striped rug below and a neutral one on top. Just make sure you leave at least 12 inches (30 centimeters) around, so you can see the contrast.

Different textures are always a must in this trend. A fluffy rug on top would be great for fall time!

Constrast is obviously the key here. Between the different ways you can get contrast, color is a great option. For me, a neutral base is an essential for the look, such as sisal or jute. But above it, you can play with whatever you want, persian rugs, morrocan rugs, patterned, colorful, you name it. Just remember to go with the right scale for your room.

Ok, if you are not the colorful kind, this is a great example of how you can make contrast with two neutral rugs. Add different shapes! A faux fur, with an abstract shape can make the trick. Or even a round one on top of a regular rectangular rug. It looks simple yet luxurious and comfy.
Doesn’t a rug just make every room feel complete?
See you next time!
